The primary goal of Santé in Costa Rica has been to provide health care services through La  Clinica de la Mariposa on an on-going basis, with a focus on quality and quantity of care. Services have been provided during the two one-month visits each year since 2001, using student and supervising professional volunteers to fill all positions in the clinic.

     In the near future the intention is to build a substantial, secure, and permanent headquarters building to house the clinic, its supplies, and related functions in the Central Valley of Costa Rica.  Fund-raising efforts for this project will be started in 2006.  A property search is underway and will continue until a suitable location is found.   Preliminary discussions regarding the design of buildings and facilities is continuing as well.
